Professional and Reliable Care
Gastroenterology is a medical specialty focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases of the digestive system. This field studies the functions and disorders of organs such as the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, and pancreas.
Gastroenterologists diagnose and treat a wide range of digestive system disorders, including gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), liver diseases, hepatitis, gallstone disease, pancreatitis, and other gastrointestinal disorders.
Modern diagnostic methods are widely used in gastroenterology. These include endoscopic examinations (gastroscopy and colonoscopy), ultrasound examinations, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), laboratory tests, and biopsy. These methods enable early detection of diseases and the development of accurate treatment plans.
Modern gastroenterology applies not only medical therapy but also endoscopic interventions, minimally invasive procedures, and personalized treatment approaches. Gastroenterologists also place special emphasis on preventing digestive system diseases through proper nutrition, a healthy lifestyle, and preventive measures.
The main goal of the Gastroenterology Department is to protect patients’ digestive health, detect diseases at an early stage, provide effective treatment, and improve patients’ quality of life.
